Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION: Can I order just 1 item to be embroidered with my Company Logo?

ANSWER: NO. Set-up costs to digitise a Logo are too expensive to have just one item embroidered as most Industrial Embroidery machines are 12 head, and have a minimum of 12 garments. Standard lettering requires no Set-up fee on fewer items; IE: "JOHN SMITH BUILDER & SONS" for £3.50 + VAT. each, although most places will charge a small surcharge for just one piece.

QUESTION: Can I order 1 item On-line and send it back if it doesn't fit or I don't like it?

ANSWER: Sorry No. Single items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

QUESTION: Does Screen Printing require a Set-up fee?

ANSWER: YES: Costs depend on how many colours your Design/Logo contains and wether you need 1 or both sides of the garment printing. Unit cost on small runs under 50 pieces can be 2 or 3 times the amount that 200+ units would cost. Each Colour Screen is £20-£30 to Set-up depending on the Complexity.

QUESTION: Can I get the Signatures on some Autographed Sports Memorabilia (IE: Football/Race shirts) embroidered on so that they won't degrade/fade on framing or washing?

ANSWER: NO. The machine can't embroider accurately over something already in place, but someone good at needlework may be able to do it by hand at very little cost. - Try an Advert in your local Crafts Shop!

QUESTION: Can I have garments bought elsewhere embroidered with our Logo?

ANSWER: YES. If 12 or more units of quality Workwear Brands or garments of correct weight/thickness. Not otherwise, as many items found in shops aren't suitable for Embroidery and will pucker/distort the Logos, compromising our usual high standards. Sorry.

QUESTION: Why can't we have our Logo embroidered onto the pockets, epaulettes or pocket flaps of office shirts?

ANSWER: Small areas need to be done BEFORE the garment is fully assembled otherwise they aren't accessible for the machine to Embroider accurately. Embroidering onto pockets after assembly means the pocket will be stitched together and inaccessible.

QUESTION: Can I save the Carriage by collecting my order myself?

ANSWER: Sorry, NO. For Security & Insurance reasons we can only keep a few Samples on Site and have everything sent from a proper Storage Facility. The Carriage is the cost of Delivery to your address or our Embroidery Sites. Orders over £350 gain FREE DELIVERY within the UK.

QUESTION: Why is there another minimum order on caps even if I'm having over 12 garments embroidered?

ANSWER: Because the machine heads have to be adapted to do caps, it is time-consuming and expensive to stop production on flat work for just a few items. In the time it takes to adapt the machine, many flat garments could have been embroidered.

QUESTION: I was given a quote for 20 polo shirts to be printed, which went up as soon as I said I wanted white text on navy shirts. Why is that?

ANSWER: Having a light colour put onto dark garments always takes a little longer to get a satisfactory result and that's why it costs a little more. In the case of Screen printing, each garment may have to be printed twice before it stands out really well.

QUESTION: Can you have Fleeces printed?

ANSWER: Yes. The result will sit differently on the textured surface, and may not last as long as it would on smoother flat surfaces, but for Short Term needs like Exhibitions, you can still get a very satisfactory result.
